Caddy's World by Hilary McKay (****)
Cinder by Marissa Myer (*****)
The Goodbye Season by Mariam Hale (****1/2) Disclaimer: This is the kind of book that ends WAY to early. The kind that should have a sequel, but doesn't. Yeah, you know what I'm talkin' about.

The False Princess by Eilis O' Neal (****)
Miles from Ordinary by Carol Lynch Williams (****) This book is about the realities of mental illness. It is very intense, and leaves you thirsting for more.
Little Blog on the Prairie by Cathleen Devitt. Bell (****) A funny book about a teenage girl going to a camp where you live like the amish.
Girl, Stolen by April Henry (****) An unintentional kidnapping of a blind teenager with pneumonia.
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven (****) "This is the story of a girl saved by the boy who couldn't be saved himself." (Taken from a review on amazon.com) This book just may be the saddest, most beautiful book I have ever read. I cried. And I don't often cry at books. Yes, it is about two young teens in love. But it's not your typical love story. It is so much deeper than that. Disclaimer: This book does contain some swearing/sexual content. Not a huge amount, but it is present.
Disclaimer: All of these books are relatively clean to me, but it depends on what you are comfortable with. I recommend that you look up the book for yourself and determine if it is right for you! A good website to do this is commonsensemedia.org, though it doesn't have all of the books listed. If you would like to know more about one of these books just shoot me a question in the comment section below and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Happy Reading!

ReplyDeleteI really recommend the Mother Daughter Book Club, despite how lame the title sounds, because if you haven't noticed from my blog, I am OBSESSED with it.
I will definitely try the Mother Daughter Book Club. I've read other books by the author, and she is really good! :)
